How do I add my medications?
Open Wellness, tap Prescriptions, add the medicine and the details from your label, and save.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Steps
- Open Wellness and tap Prescriptions in the Medical & Clinical group.
- On the My Meds tab, tap Add First Medication. If you already have medicines, tap the round plus button at the bottom right.
- Type the Medication Name. A list of suggestions may appear. You can pick one, or keep what you typed.
- Fill in Dosage, Frequency and Time(s) per Day from your prescription label. Dates, Take With Food and notes are optional.
- If you want, add the prescribing doctor, the refill date and the pharmacy.
- Tap Save at the top right.
- To record a dose, tap Take Dose on the medicine's card.
Check what the form fills in
When you pick a medicine from the list, the form can fill in a dose unit, a side effects note and a Typical dose note. These come from a built-in reference list. They are not from your prescription.
Change them or delete them so the entry matches your label.
What SOS does not do
SOS does not check that a dose is right for you. Follow your prescriber and your pharmacist. The FDA label panel in the form says it is for reference and is not medical advice.
SOS also does not send alerts at your dose times. The next article explains this.
Your data
Your medicine list is saved to your account, and other members cannot see it.
Picking a medicine from the list, or tapping Look up drug info, sends the medicine name to the FDA's public drug label service. Do this only if you are comfortable with that.
Other parts of the screen
The Schedule tab lays out your day by time. The Guide tab has general medicine reading. Refill dates you enter show under Refill Reminders on My Meds. They are shown on the screen only.
