How do I track my mood?

Mental health and wellness

Open Mental Health Center, tap Mood Tracker, pick a number from 1 to 10, and save.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. Open Wellness, then the Mind & Mental Health group, then Mental Health Center.
  2. On the Tools tab, under Track, tap Mood Tracker. You can also tap Mood in the Today row at the top.
  3. On the Today tab, tap a number under How are you feeling? It starts at 5, so set it to match you.
  4. Set Energy Level with the stars. They start at 3 stars, so change them too. Anxiety, emotions, what is affecting you and notes are optional.
  5. Tap Save Today's Log. If you already saved today, the button says Update Today's Log.

One entry a day

The Mood Tracker keeps one entry for each day. Saving again changes today's entry. It does not add a second one.

Other ways to log mood

On Home, the Quick Log row has Log Mood. Type a number from 1 to 10. Each save adds an entry, and if you save more than once in a day the Mood card in Today's Summary shows the average.

The Mood Journal, in the Mind & Mental Health group of Wellness, adds a new entry each time you save. Use it if you want to log more than once a day.

The daily check-in also asks for mood on its Quick tab.

See your patterns

The Patterns tab shows a 30-day heatmap, a 7-day chart, how your moods are spread and the factors you pick most.

If you need to talk to someone

Call or text 988 at any time to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You can also text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line. If you are in danger right now, call 911.

What happens next

Your entry is saved to your account, so it also shows on your other devices.
