I need to talk to someone right now

Safety and crisis help

You are not alone. Call or text 988 at any time to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You can also text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line. If you are in danger right now, call 911.

More ways to get support

In the app, the Get help now button opens support lines for your country. It has a lifebuoy icon. It needs no account.

It floats at the bottom left of the screen. On a wide screen, if you are signed in, it is in the side menu instead.

SOS Mode has breathing and grounding exercises, with the crisis lines at the top. It works without an account.

If you are outside the United States

Get help now picks lines for your country from your device settings. If it cannot tell, it shows the United States lines first.

If your country is not listed, it offers a worldwide helpline finder.

You can change the country in the sheet. Tap Choose your country or Change country.

Not sure what to say?

You can say, "I'm struggling and I could use some support." That is enough.

Calling or texting 988 is free, and you do not have to be sure you are in crisis.

What SOS cannot do

SOS cannot watch how you are doing or send help to you. Please use the lines above.
