Is SOS down right now?
Open the Help status page to see if SOS can be reached from your device.
Steps
- Open the Help Center and tap Is SOS down? to reach the status page.
- Under Is SOS working?, read the lines for the server and for email. A notice from us shows there when we have one.
- Under Your device, check that you are online, that your clock is right and that your browser can save data.
- Tap Check again to run the checks once more.
- If the server cannot be reached, wait a few minutes and try again. You do not need to do anything else.
- If the server is fine but SOS still fails for you, use the fix buttons on that page, such as Repair the app files.
A strip on the screen
When your device is online but SOS cannot be reached, a strip at the top of the screen says so and offers Try now.
If the status page will not open
The status page is part of SOS, so it cannot open if SOS itself is down. A plain copy of the Help Center is at https://sosforchange.org/help.html.
If that does not open either, SOS cannot be reached from your device right now. Open another website to check your connection, then try again later.
Sending details to us
Copy details for support shows you what it will copy before it copies anything. It copies only after you tick the box.
The details describe your device and the checks. They do not include your password, your email address or what you have written in SOS.
