My changes won't save

Fix a problem

Stay on the screen, read the message, and check that you are online and signed in.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. Stay on the screen. Do not close it or go back until the save works.
  2. Read the message. Many start with Couldn't save and then say why.
  3. If it says you appear to be offline, or that SOS can't be reached, check your connection and tap Save again.
  4. If it says Your session has ended, copy anything you typed, sign in again, then save again.
  5. If it says you are going a little fast, wait a few seconds and try again.
  6. If it says Something went wrong on our side, wait a minute and try again. The Help status page shows whether SOS is answering.
  7. If nothing happens when you tap Save, copy your text, reload the page and try again.

If the message names a box

A message that starts with a box name, such as Email or Password, means SOS did not accept what is in that box. The message says what to change.

Fix that box and save again.

If your device is nearly full

The Help status page checks how much space your browser has left for SOS. When it is nearly full, saving can fail.

Tap Clear saved copies on that page to free some space. Your entries, drafts and sign-in stay.

Tools that keep entries only on this device

A few tools save only on your device, so they do not need a connection. Clearing your browser data removes those entries.

Still not saving

Tap the Help button, then Send a note instead. Choose Something's broken and tick Include details about this screen.
