Why does it say my sign-in expired right away?

Fix a problem

Your device clock is probably wrong, so set the date and time to automatic and sign in again.

Steps

  1. Check the date, time and time zone on your device.
  2. Turn on automatic date and time. On Windows, open Settings, then Time and language, then Date and time. On an iPhone, open Settings, then General, then Date and Time.
  3. On Android, open Settings and look for Date and time under System or General management.
  4. Close SOS, open it again and sign in.
  5. Still failing? Open the Help status page. The Your device section compares your clock with ours.

Why this happens

Your sign-in comes with an end time. SOS checks that time against the clock on your device.

If your clock is set too far ahead, the sign-in looks expired the moment you make it.

Other reasons you may be signed out

A private window, or a browser that blocks site data, forgets your sign-in too. The article about private windows covers that.
