Why do I keep getting signed out?
SOS signs you out if Keep me signed in is off or your sign-in runs out.
Steps
- When you sign in, leave Keep me signed in ticked. It is on by default.
- Do not use a private or incognito window. It forgets everything when you close it.
- Do not set your browser to delete site data when you close it.
- Open SOS now and then. Each time it opens it renews your saved sign-in.
- Only keep yourself signed in on a device that is yours.
The usual reasons
Keep me signed in was off. Then closing the browser ends your sign-in, and reloading the page can too. In a phone app, closing the app fully ends it.
You have not opened SOS for a while. The saved sign-in runs out after some time.
Your password or email address changed on another device. That signs out every other device.
Your browser cleared its saved data, or you used a private window. SOS keeps your sign-in in the browser's saved data.
The account was suspended. A suspended account cannot stay signed in.
If it happens within minutes
If you are signed out again and again while Keep me signed in is ticked and you use a normal window, write to admin@sosforchange.org. Tell us your device and browser.
