How do I change my password?
Open Settings, then Security, then Change Password.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Steps
- Open Settings and tap Security.
- Under Password, tap Change Password.
- Type your current password, then your new password two times.
- Tap Update Password.
Good to know
A new password needs at least 8 characters.
Changing your password signs out every other device. You stay signed in on this one.
The main Settings page also has a Change Password row in its Account group. It does the same thing.
If you forgot your current password
Sign out, then tap Forgot Password? on the sign-in screen to choose a new one.
What happens next
SOS may email you a short notice that your password changed. It can arrive a minute or so later.
