What are the password rules?
A password needs at least 8 characters, and SOS asks for nothing else.
What counts
Length is the rule. SOS does not ask for capital letters, numbers or symbols.
When you sign up or reset your password, a bar under the box shows how strong it is. It says Too short under 8 characters, OK for 8 to 11, and Good for 12 or more.
A few words in a row works well. Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Typing it
When you sign up there is one password box. The eye icon shows what you typed, so you can check for mistakes.
When you reset or change a password, you type the new one two times.
Who can read it
SOS stores your password only as a hash, so we cannot read it. If you forget it, you reset it with Forgot Password.
