Who sees my posts? Can I pick the audience?

Community

Public posts can be read by all signed-in members, and Only Me posts only by you.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Your two choices

When you write a post, the button beside Share with the Community shows the audience. Tap it to change it.

Public means every member of SOS can see it. Only Me means only you can see it.

Posts cannot be limited to connections, circles or close friends yet. Older posts saved with a connections or circles label show as Visible to all members, because every member can read them. Older close friends posts show as Only you.

Where a Public post shows

It shows on the Feed for every signed-in member, and on your profile page when another member opens it.

People who are not signed in cannot read the Commons.

A post inside a circle follows the circle. In a Public circle, any signed-in member can read it. In a Private or Invite Only circle, only its members can.

Your name and your control

Your posts show your display name. SOS sets the name from your account, so a post cannot use a different one.

You can delete your own post at any time from its Post options button.
