How do I unblock or unmute someone?

Community rules and reporting

Open Settings, then Blocked and muted, and tap Unblock or Unmute.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. Open Settings. In the Privacy & Data group, tap Blocked and muted.
  2. Find the person under BLOCKED or MUTED.
  3. Tap Unblock or Unmute next to their name.
  4. To bring back posts you hid, look under HIDDEN ON THIS DEVICE and tap Show again. This brings back everything you hid on this device.

Other ways to unblock

You can also tap Unblock on the person's profile, or in the menu at the top of a conversation.

The menu on a post has a link called Manage blocked and muted people.

What comes back

Their posts can show up in your feeds again. They can message you, follow you and send you a connection request again.

Follows and connections that were removed when you blocked them are not restored.

Nothing on this screen tells the other person.

If the list will not load

If you see "We couldn't load your lists", check your connection and tap Try again. Nothing was changed.

If a name is missing, the row says "A member (name not shown)". You can still unblock or unmute them.
