What does Usage Analytics do and how do I turn it off?

Privacy and your data

Usage Analytics is off until you turn it on, and it is linked to your account.

Steps

  1. Open Settings.
  2. In the Privacy & Data group, find Usage Analytics.
  3. Switch it off. The change takes effect at once.

What it records

Each event records your account ID, a session ID, the screen or feature you used, timings, the app version and the platform.

Because it is linked to your account, it is not anonymous.

Who can see it

Staff with an administrator or manager role can see these events.

There is no automatic expiry yet. The events stay until you delete your account or ask us to remove them.

After you turn it off

New events stop being recorded, and the app works the same.

Your choice is saved on the device where you set it, so set it on each device you use.

To ask for events already recorded to be deleted, write to admin@sosforchange.org. Put "Privacy request" in the subject.

Other places for the same switch

Settings, then Privacy & Security, then the Sharing tab has the same switch. Tap Save after you change it there.

The Your Rights tab has an Opt Out Analytics button. It works at once and needs no Save.

Open this in the app
