How do I add a child?
You cannot add a child profile right now, but you can still open or delete older ones.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
What changed
New child profiles can't be added right now, so the Add Child button is gone from the Family area. SOS is not designed for children under 13.
A child who is 13 or older can have their own account instead.
If you already have a profile
- Open the Family area from the link on this page. It is not in the main menus.
- Tap a child's card to open the profile.
- From there you can edit the name and birthdate, open Kids Mode, switch the profile off for a while, or delete it.
What a profile holds
Child profiles are stored on SOS servers, linked to your account. That includes the name, birthdate and avatar you entered, the settings you saved, and anything Kids Mode records.
To control what a child can open
Use the parental controls built into the phone or tablet, such as Screen Time on Apple devices or Family Link on Android.
