How do I use search?

Getting started

Tap the search bar at the top of Home, type part of a tool or page name, and tap a result to open it.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. On Home, tap Search anything at the top. On Wellness, Wealth and Knowledge, tap the search box near the top. On Goals, tap the magnifying glass.
  2. Type part of a name, such as sleep or budget.
  3. Tap a result to open it. Results are grouped by section, such as Wellness or Wealth.
  4. Once you have typed three letters, ideas from the knowledge library can appear in their own group called Concepts.
  5. If there are more than 30 results, tap Show all to see every one.
  6. With the box empty, your last 8 searches show under Recent. Tap Clear to remove them.

What search looks at

Search looks at the names and descriptions of tools and pages, and at ideas in the knowledge library. Recent searches are kept only on your device.

Once you have typed three letters, SOS also asks its server for matching ideas, so that part needs a connection.

If your words sound like a crisis

If what you type sounds like you may be in distress or danger, search puts a card at the top called Talk to someone now. It has a Get help now button and a link to SOS Mode.

This check runs on your device. Your words are not sent anywhere for it.

When nothing matches

You can tell us what you were looking for. Tap Report missing feature or content, write a note and tap Send Report. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send Report.
