I lost what I was typing
Most forms keep your text only until you leave the screen or refresh, so tap Save before you go.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Why it happens
What you type stays on the screen until you save it. Most forms do not keep a copy for you.
Leaving the screen, refreshing the page or closing the browser tab can clear it.
Tapping the bottom tab you are already on takes you back to the start of that area, and text you were typing can be lost. Tapping a different tab should keep your place in the area you left.
What to do now
Open the screen again and look. A few screens keep a draft, such as posts in the Social Feed. If the text is gone, SOS cannot bring it back.
How to avoid it
- Tap Save, Add or Create before you leave a screen.
- Use the back arrow to leave a screen. Avoid tapping the bottom tab you are already on while you are in the middle of something.
- For a long note, type it in a notes app first and paste it in.
- For a post you are not ready to share, tap Save Draft in the Social Feed post box.
- When a save fails, many screens keep your text. Stay on the screen, check your connection and try again.
