How do I build a workout program?
Open Program Builder, start from a template or from scratch, save it, then tap Start This Program.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Steps
- Open Wellness, then Fitness Center, then Program Builder. The Fitness screen also has a Build Program button.
- To start from a template, open the Templates tab and tap one. It opens in the builder so you can change it. To start fresh, tap Build From Scratch.
- Type the Program Name. Choose the Goal, the number of Weeks, the Days/Week and the Difficulty.
- For each day, tap Add Exercise, then set the sets, reps and rest.
- Tap Save.
- On My Programs, tap your program, then tap Start This Program. It is marked ACTIVE.
- On a training day, open the program and tap Log Today's Workout. The Workout Logger opens with that day's exercises ready.
Good to know
Only one program can be active. Starting a new one turns the old one off. Tap Deactivate Program to stop one.
If nothing is planned for today, the screen offers the next planned day instead.
Templates are general
The templates are general training plans that come with the app. SOS does not check that a program suits your health or fitness. If you have an injury or a health condition, ask a doctor or a qualified trainer first.
A second place for plans
A separate screen called Workout Plans, which you can find with search, keeps its own plans. Plans in Program Builder and in Workout Plans are separate lists.
