How do I log what I ate?

Food, exercise and body

On Home, tap Diet, then Add Food, pick your food, and tap Add to Diary.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. On Home, tap Diet to open the Food Diary. If you do not see Diet, open Wellness, then Nutrition Hub, then Diet Log.
  2. Under Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snacks, tap Add Food. An empty meal says Log and the meal name, such as Log Lunch.
  3. Type at least two letters of the food's name (three in the Diet Log), and tap a result. If your food is not there, try a shorter name.
  4. Set how much you ate. Type an amount in grams, ounces or pounds (milliliters or fluid ounces for drinks), or tap 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x or 2x. Cups and spoons are not offered yet.
  5. Tap Add to Diary. In the Diet Log, the button says Log It.
  6. To remove a food, tap the trash icon next to it and confirm.
  7. To log a food again, tap it under Recent Foods.

Other ways to log food

The Diet Log lets you enter a food by hand. In Wellness, open Nutrition Hub, then Diet Log, tap Add Food, and tap Enter manually.

On Home, the Quick Log row has Log Food. Type what you ate and, if you want, the calories.

A food you add in one place shows in the others, because they all save to the same food log.

About the numbers

Calorie and nutrient numbers come from public food databases, so treat them as estimates. A switch called Hide calorie and weight numbers sits at the top of the Food Diary. It hides calorie totals on this device.

If counting food is hard

The Food Diary shows eating disorder support next to the calorie ring. You can hide the numbers or stop logging at any time.

What happens next

Your foods are saved to your account, so they also show on your other devices.
