There are several food diaries. Which one do I use?

Food, exercise and body

Use the Food Diary from Home; all the food screens save to the same list.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

The three places

Food Diary: Home opens it with the Diet shortcut. It has Today, Diary, Nutrients and Goals tabs, Quick Picks, recent foods and a water tracker.

Diet Log: the Nutrition Hub opens it. It searches USDA and Open Food Facts, uses SOS's own food list when USDA is busy, and lets you enter a food by hand. It also has Drinks, and Daily, Weekly and Monthly views.

Log Food on Home: this is in the Quick Log row. You type what you ate and, if you want, the calories. It saves a snack for today.

They share one food log

All three save to the same food log in your account. A food you add in one shows in the others.

Totals can still differ. The Food Diary adds calories from supplements you track, and the Diet Log does not.

Which should I pick

Pick the one that suits you and stay with it. If you want the goals calculator and the water tracker next to your food, use the Food Diary. If you want to type in a food by hand, the Diet Log has a form for it.
