How do I track body measurements?
Open Fitness, tap Body Measurements, type your numbers, and tap Save Measurement.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Steps
- Open Wellness, then Fitness Center, then Body Measurements. The Fitness screen also has a Log Body Measurements button.
- On the Log tab, check the date at the top. Use the arrows to change it.
- Check the unit switch. It shows lbs / in or kg / cm.
- Type your weight, and your Body Fat % if you know it. Then fill in any measurements you want, such as Chest, Waist, Hips, Neck or Left Bicep.
- Add notes if you want. Tap Save Measurement.
- Next time, tap Use Last to fill the form from your last entry, then change what is different.
Good to know
You need a weight, or a chest, waist or hips number, to save. If that date already has an entry, saving updates it.
The form also has a Muscle Mass % box. It is not saved right now, so you can leave it empty.
Saving a weight also updates the weight on your profile. The calorie goals tool reads that profile weight.
About BMI
Under your weight, the form shows a BMI and a label for it. It uses the height saved in your profile. If your profile has no height, no BMI is shown.
BMI is a rough guide only, and it cannot tell muscle from fat. The Guide tab explains this.
If numbers about your body feel hard
You do not have to track them. The Wellness screen has a Get support for card, with help for eating and body image.
What happens next
Measurements are saved to your account, and other members cannot see them.
