Why don't I get reminders?

Settings

Most reminder switches send nothing yet, and the web cannot schedule any.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

Steps

  1. Think about which reminder you expected. Sleep, water, workout, budget, bill and similar reminders in Notification Preferences are not sent yet.
  2. If you expected the Morning Brief reminder, open Morning Brief. Check the Morning Brief Reminder switch and the Reminder Time. The screen says reminders need the mobile app.
  3. If you expected the Daily Practice Reminder, open the Human Accord screen. Check that it is on and has a time.
  4. If you use a mobile app, check that your device allows notifications for SOS. You can change this in your device settings.
  5. On the web, SOS cannot schedule these reminders. SOS has no App Store or Google Play app yet, so for now these two reminders are not available.

What SOS can remind you about today

The Morning Brief reminder and the Daily Practice Reminder are set on their own screens. In the mobile app, your phone shows them at the time you pick. A web browser cannot schedule them.

The Pomodoro timer alerts you when a session ends. On a phone it is a scheduled notification. On the web it is a browser notice if you allow it.

What is not available yet

The switches in Notification Preferences are saved, but nothing sends reminders from them yet.

Do Not Disturb times are not the reason. No reminder checks them yet.

The web version cannot receive push notifications yet.

If you need a medicine alert, use your phone's own alarm. SOS does not send one.

Still stuck

Tell us which reminder you expected and where you use SOS: the web or a phone. Use Send Feedback in Settings, or write to admin@sosforchange.org.
