What do the calendar sync settings do?
They do not connect to any outside calendar yet, so most of the sync choices do nothing.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Where it is
Open Calendar and tap the settings button at the top right. It is a sliders icon. The screen is called Calendar Sync Settings.
It has four tabs: Calendar Sources, Sync Settings, Notifications and Integration Guide.
No outside calendar is connected
SOS cannot sync with Google, Apple, Outlook or any other calendar yet. Each one on the Calendar Sources tab says Not connected and Soon.
Sync Enabled shows Sync active, but there is nothing to sync.
Trigger Manual Sync does not sync anything. It tells you there is nothing to sync yet, and it records no sync.
The other choices
The Sync Settings tab has choices for how often to sync, which copy wins in a conflict, privacy and bandwidth. They are saved on this device and have no effect yet.
The Notifications tab has reminder defaults, sounds and birthday reminders. They are saved on this device only, and no reminders are sent from them.
The calendars you create on the first tab are saved on this device only. Nothing else in SOS reads that list yet.
What you can do now
On the Integration Guide tab, Import / Export .ics Files opens a screen where you can export your events or import a calendar file.
