What are recurring templates in the budget?
A template is a saved bill or income that you add by hand with one tap.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
What a template holds
A template saves a name, an amount, whether it is income or an expense, and a category.
It also saves how often it repeats: daily, weekly, every two weeks, monthly, every three months or yearly. You can add a day of the month or week, a start date, an end date and notes.
How to make one
You can also switch on Make Recurring when you add a new transaction. That saves the transaction and a template together.
- Open Budget & Cashflow and tap the Planning tab.
- Under Recurring Transactions, tap +. Fill in the form.
- Tap Save Template.
How to use one
On the Planning tab, find the template and tap Apply Now. SOS adds a transaction with today's date and shows when you last applied it. The template stays so you can use it again.
Use the On and Off switch to pause a template. Tap the trash can icon to delete it. Deleting a template does not remove transactions you already added.
What it does not do
The Make Recurring switch says it repeats automatically. Today it does not add transactions by itself. You tap Apply Now each time.
The Overview tab lists up to three templates due in the next 7 days. The Planning tab lists expense templates due in the next 30 days if they have a day of the month. Active templates also show on your Calendar.
SOS does not send a reminder for them yet.
