My verification email never came
Check spam first, then ask for a new link from the top bar or from Settings.
Steps
- Wait a few minutes. The email is from Solution Oriented Society. The subject is "Verify your email for Solution Oriented Society". Check spam, junk and promotions.
- Signed in? Look for the bar at the top that says Please confirm your email address. Tap Send Email.
- No bar? Open Settings, then Security, then Change email address. If your address is not verified, tap Send me a verification email.
- Signed out with an old link? Open it. If the page says the link doesn't work any more, tap the button called "Sign in, then ask for a new link". Cannot sign in? Type your email in the Email address box and tap Send me a new link.
- After you ask, wait 2 minutes before you ask again. The button counts down for you.
- If a note says email may be slow, or the button says SOS cannot confirm email is working, try again in a few minutes.
- Check the address under Settings, then Security. If you typed it wrong when you joined, write to admin@sosforchange.org.
When SOS cannot send email
Resend verification email on the sign-in screen and Send me a new link on the verification page check first whether SOS can send email.
If it cannot, they ask for nothing. They say, "SOS cannot confirm that email is working right now, so a link may not arrive. Wait a few minutes and try again."
An amber note above the button starts, "Email may be slow right now."
What happens next
If you ask while signed out, SOS does not say whether the address needs verifying. If it does, a new link is on its way.
