Do I have to verify my email?
You need a verified email only to change your email address today.
What verifying does
Verifying tells SOS that the address really belongs to you. You open a link in an email we send.
What needs it today
Changing your email address needs a verified address.
You can sign in without verifying.
SOS has a switch that can also ask for a verified email before you post or message. That switch is off today. If it is turned on, the screen will tell you.
How to verify
Look for the bar at the top that says Please confirm your email address, and tap Send Email. It shows only while your address is not verified, SOS can send email and you have not closed it.
No bar? Open Settings, then Security. A badge next to your email address says VERIFIED or NOT VERIFIED.
Then open the email with the subject "Verify your email for Solution Oriented Society" and tap Confirm my email.
What happens next
When it works, the page says Email confirmed, and SOS may send you a one-time welcome email.
