My streak reset but I did it

Goals, calendar and Home

A streak counts days by your device's date, so a late tick or a new time zone can shift the day.

This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.

How days are counted

SOS counts a day by the date on your device, in your time zone. A tick after midnight counts for the new day.

If your device's date, time or time zone is wrong or changes while you travel, a tick can land on another day.

How the Habit Tracker counts a streak

A Daily, Weekdays or Weekends habit keeps its streak while you tick every day it is planned for. Missing a planned day ends the streak. Days the habit is not planned for never end it.

Today is a grace day. If you have not ticked yet today, a streak that was fine through yesterday is still there.

A 3×/week or Weekly habit counts weeks in a row that reach the target. Weeks start on Monday.

What to check

  1. On the Today tab, check that the habit shows as done for today. Open Stats to see its totals.
  2. Check that your device's date, time and time zone are set to update on their own.
  3. If you missed only yesterday and have a shield, look for the shield button on the habit. Tap it and confirm to restore the streak.
  4. If a tick said Couldn't save, the habit stayed unticked. Tick it again when you are back online.

Streak shields

You can hold up to 3 streak shields. There are six ways to earn one.

Log your sleep, complete a workout, or log all three meals.

Check in on a goal, finish a breathing or meditation session, or write a journal entry.

Tap the Streak Shields card on the Today tab to see the list. A shield fixes one missed day, and only yesterday. It marks yesterday as done and restores the streak. It works for Daily, Weekdays and Weekends habits, not for 3×/week or Weekly ones.

Shields are saved on this device only.

The Streaks screen is separate

The Streaks screen keeps its own list. A streak there goes back to 0 after a full day with no check-in. Its check-ins are saved on this device only.

If it still looks wrong

Send us a note from Help with the habit's name and the days involved. We read every note. We can't promise a reply time.
