Where do I set calorie and nutrient targets?
Open Nutrition Targets in Wellness, pick a preset or use the calculator, then tap Save Nutrition Targets.
This needs an account. Sign in to the app first.
Steps
- Open the Wellness area and tap the Nutrition Targets tool. In the Diet Log you can also tap Set your own, if you see it.
- To start from a preset, tap one under Life-Stage Presets, such as Standard, Active or Plant-Based. It fills in the numbers.
- Or open the BMR/TDEE Calculator. Enter your details, then tap Calculate My Targets.
- Under Your Daily Targets, change any number: calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber or water.
- Tap Save Nutrition Targets.
Good to know
The presets and the calculator fill in estimates. They are starting points, not advice for your body.
A doctor or dietitian can tell you what is right for you.
The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor formula. It asks for height and weight in your units: inches and pounds if you use imperial, centimeters and kilograms if you use metric.
If your profile has an age, sex, height and weight, the calculator fills them in.
Where it is saved
Your targets are saved to your account. The Diet Log then says its goals come from your Nutrition Targets.
Until you save targets, the Diet Log uses goals estimated from your profile, or default goals.
If saving fails
SOS shows Failed to save. The numbers stay on the screen, so check your connection and tap Save Nutrition Targets again.
