Review status

This page was rewritten on 11 October 2026 to match what the app actually does. The operator and a lawyer have not reviewed it yet, and the parts marked "To be completed" are still open.

SOS does not use AI on your data today

If that ever changes, we will say so first and ask you.

1 What that means today

  • There is no AI coach, AI chat or AI assistant in the app.
  • The app does not send anything you write or log to an AI company. This covers your journal, mood, food, sleep, workouts, money, goals, messages and profile.
  • The app is not connected to any AI provider, and no AI provider account is in use for it.
  • Insights, trends, nudges, your Life Score and the Morning Brief come from fixed rules and arithmetic that run inside the app on your own entries. No AI model reads your entries for them.
  • SOS does not use AI to decide whether you can use the service or get anything from it.
  • SOS does not use your information to train AI models.

2 Pages about AI

The Knowledge tab has reading pages about artificial intelligence, technology and society. They are articles for you to read. They do not use your information, and they are not a sign that AI is working on your data.

3 How SOS itself was written

SOS was built with help from AI tools, including Claude, made by Anthropic. Educational articles, knowledge entries and many app features were drafted or assisted by AI. A person has not reviewed every page, so some of it may be wrong or out of date.

Text that was drafted with AI help can sound right and still be wrong. Check important health, money or legal information with a qualified doctor, therapist, financial adviser or lawyer, or with a source you trust. SOS cannot replace any of them.

This is about how SOS was written. It does not mean the app sends your information to an AI company.

4 Who reads what you send us

  • The Encrypted Vault is encrypted on your own device with a key that stays there. Nobody at SOS can read it.
  • Notes you send through the Help button, reports about content and emails to our address are stored on SOS's server and read by the people who run SOS. The Privacy Policy says who can see what.

To be completed by the operator

The people who run SOS use AI tools to build and look after SOS. State here whether they also use an AI assistant to read the notes and reports members send, and name it. Until then this page describes only what the app itself does.

5 If this changes

If SOS ever adds an AI feature, we will say so first and ask you. Before anything is switched on we will:

  • explain the feature on this page, naming the company that provides it, what it would receive and its data terms;
  • keep it off until you agree, and never use your information with AI without asking you;
  • update the Privacy Policy and change the date at the top of this page.

6 Questions or concerns

If you have a question about this page, or you think AI is being used somewhere it should not be, write to us.

AI questions

One address handles this along with privacy, legal and support questions. A person reads it and replies.
